As for compassion, yes, not the greatest from any of that team, but they are competent and the office is well run.

I've been seeing Dr Goodman for an inflamatory arthritis problem. I've been very impressed with the level of care. After a couple of visits my problem is gone.

I have had Dr. Goodman and Beverly Harris N.P. as my primary care providers for about 5 years, but will be establishing care somewhere else moving forward. I don't typically go to the doctors, ever, but if something unexpected happens I never want to go there again. I had an unplanned pregnancy that I had lost within a week of finding out. I felt so ashamed and alone after how I was treated at my visit when I found out I was pregnant. Luckily, I referred myself to an excellent O.B. to continue my care in regards to this situation, who offered to help us try again, and made me feel human. Previously, I had moderate joint pain, stiffness, and other issues that I had sought Dr. Goodman for, as he had a great medical background, and decent reviews. Pain is now very taboo due to the opioid crisis, even 5 or so years ago, and he couldn't be less compassionate. I was not drug seeking, but answer seeking, treatment seeking, and unless your problem is profitable, cut and dry, I would never recommend this place. I thought maybe since I'd given up on my joint and back issues I could return without being treated like a degenerate, but I was very wrong. I had no idea I was pregnant, but that doesn't mean I should be judged. Miscarrying was related to my other issues, not that they cared to find out, or even think to connect the two, or about my care at all. I am a healthcare professional and I have experienced all types of patients. I have never been so heartless like how I was treated there. Obviously, I have never forgotten this. I feel more sorry for them, that they must be so burnt out, that my paying outrageous premiums and deductibles to pay for their terrible care is an annoyance to them. Good luck!

Both my husband and I see Dr. Heinser. He is the best doctor I have ever had - bar none. He is compassionate, and actually listens to his patients. Years ago I had Dr.Christiansen, and thought she was very detached and quick with the prescription pad.

I've been seeing Dr Goodman for about 10 years. So far it's only been routine physicals and a back injury. For the routine stuff he's very good. For pain issues or anything outside of the norm (rheumatology excepted), GPs are not going to be a lot of help. For pain management, it's not a Groton Medical issue, it's a country wide issue due to opioids being a dirty word now.

Very happy with my care.
